Welding Institute Toronto

As of 2008, over 15% of experienced Canadian workers are heading into retirement, creating a serious labour shortage in skilled trades.

The Institute of Technical Trades has a welding school to train prospective welders and assist in improving and enhancing the skills of experienced welders.

Our Toronto welding school provides welding training programs covering the most commonly used welding processes, along with blueprint reading and theory. In total, our Toronto welding school offers training in 15 different welding processes. All welding training is hands-on with instruction from highly qualified staff whose years of trade experience are invaluable.

Licenses are included with welding training programs and additional licensing is available for CWB and TSSA.

Vocational programs range from welding training for entry level jobs or upgrading existing skills, up to advanced training for long term careers in welding.

Safety always comes first. Students learn the importance of minimizing risk in a shop environment and how to safely operate welding machines and tools.

In addition, the Institute of Technical Trades is a Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) test center and Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) test center.
