CWB testing center toronto

The Canadian Welding Bureau licenses all structural welders in Canada. CWB testing is available at the Institute of Technical Trades' Toronto welding facilities every 2 weeks and must be booked in advance. Welders renewing licenses are required to bring their expiring/expired license to validate the check test.

Each process and each position is a separate test and welders must successfully pass flat, horizontal and vertical before the overhead test is valid. Test results are valid for 2 years.

Testing is available in the following processes:

• Electric Arc Mild Steel Welding (SMAW)
• Electric Arc Stainless Welding (SMAW)
• MIG Welding (GMAW)
• Flux-core Welding (FCAW)
